The training took place in Košice on 8 March 2011. 15 participants received plenty of useful
information on how and where approach potential donors of their non – profit organizations. For these
organizations, raising resources locally tends to be quite an extreme sport. The organizations do not
enjoy these activities so much due to the fact that it is not such an delightful activity, it is time –
consuming and unsuccessful, more often than not. However, if an organization does not commit
appropriate attention and energy to securing resources, it will soon face internal pressure and
uncertain future. At the training, the participants trained practical communication skills which form an
inseparable part of fund raising strategies.
