The UK partner held several training sessions around the theme of effective goal setting over the course of the project. Our initial research had shown that many of our learners were interested in developing their soft skills, but were unsure of where to go for training, or how to start. The workshops involved discussions about behaviour towards goals, why they are necessary, and an introduction of several goal-setting tools such as SMART. Participants had the opportunity to try out these tools, and develop their targets, both personal and relating to work. Lifelong learning was discussed and the opportunities available in Sheffield, which was of great interest to participants.
